The members of the Holy Family Institute, together with the entire Pauline family, have a deep reverence to the Blessed Virgin Mary. We worship Our Lady in a truly exceptional way under the title of Queen of Apostles.
One of the oldest devotions in the Church is Devotion to Mary as Queen of Apostles. Every year on the first Saturday after the feast of the Ascension, this feast is celebrated.
In their booklet, Devotion to Mary, Queen of Apostles, the Daughters of St. Paul gracefully express, the meaning of this title: "Mary is Queen of Apostles because she was chosen to be the Mother of Jesus Christ and to give Him to the world. She was made the Apostles' Mother by Our Savior on the cross. She had been with the Apostles while waiting for the descent of the Holy Spirit, receiving for them the profusion of supernatural invocations they received on Pentecost."
We believe that Mary is with the Pauline family now as she remained with the first Apostles, taking care of them, encouraging them and praying for them. And, as we give her Son, the Word of God, to the present world, we believe in her special care and intervention to make our apostolic endeavors profitable, for the glory of God and the good of her children in the world.
It is a root of great hope and pleasure to us in the Holy Family Institute that the " Queen of Apostles " lived out her life on earth as a wife and mother; no different externally, from the other wives and mothers in her village. She lived a regular life with exceptional love and ardor for the glory of God. We, in the Holy Family Institute, try to follow Mary's love and fervor for God as we continue to perform our duties in our homes and communities.
